FAQ'S - COOL RELIEF PORTABLE AC RENTALS

Yes, we have a service charge of $50 for delivery and installation and $50 for pick-up. Our service technicians will come to your home, confirm the units specified will work for you, check your electrical capacity, set up the units and provide instructions for you to ensure it’s smooth operation throughout your rental period. We will schedule pick up at your convenience once your AC system is back up and running.
Keep them as long as you need them Cool Relief portable AC units are intended to provide temporary cool relief while you wait for repairs to be completed. It could just be 1-2 days. But it is typically 3-5 days, and even longer in the hot summer heatwaves when it is difficult to get AC service scheduled, or if parts need to be ordered.
If repairs are taking longer than you anticipated, you can easily extend your rental period.

The price for cool relief depends on how much square footage you need cooled while you wait for your HVAC system repair.
For smaller spaces such as an apartment or condo, two units can cool a living space and bedroom for $80/day. If you have home with two bedrooms and a living space, expect $150/day. If you have a larger home, or need multiple bedrooms, kitchen and living areas cooled, the cost can be $210+/day.
We also offer significant discounts for weekly rates (i.e. pay for 4 days, get 3 free).

Cool Relief Rentals provides a temporary cooling solution and we do not service or repair HVAC systems, so our portable air conditioning units are not covered by your home warranty. We'll confirm the pick up date via phone or text, or you when you no longer need it, call us and we’ll pick it up—hassle-free.
Unlikely. Portable AC units are intended for cooling specific rooms or areas. If you need cooling for multiple rooms or large open spaces we can recommend which additional units will best meet your cooling needs and budget.
No problem! You can extend your rental period as long as needed. Just let us know before your rental period ends, and we’ll adjust your agreement accordingly.

Yes! Our Cooling Squad handles delivery, setup, and installation to ensure your unit is properly set up and ready to cool your space(s). You must have a window or sliding glass door nearby for proper venting. We do not service HVAC systems, but we can recommend HVAC repair companies that do a good job at a fair price.
If you experience any issues with our Cool Relief portable air conditioning units, contact us right away. We offer support and unit replacements if needed to keep you comfortable.
We only offer portable A/C cooling for residential use. We could support a small office or retail shop if you're in a pinch. We plan to expand our units to serve commercial businesses in the future!
